01: Who is Portastor?
Portastor along with Portakabin and Portasilo form the Industrial Division of the Shepherd Group.. Established in 1890 the Shepherd Group is one of Europe's largest privately owned companies with around 3500 staff operating from 100 UK and International locations.

Safe, secure and controlled containment environments in which service providing and revenue generating equipment can be housed.
03: What is equipment housing factory build?
The engineering and manufacture of a secure housing, which is then fully fitted with both building management services and third party equipment. All activities are performed within a clean and controlled factory environment prior to delivery and installation at site.
04: What materials are the equipment housings and enclosures made from?
Core materials used to manufacture our products include galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium and pre-coated galvanised steel.
05: What are the real benefits of factory build and equipment installation?

06: What is third party equipment installation?
The receipt, storage and management followed by mechanical and electrical installation of the original manufacturers equipment prior to delivery to site. Portastor has worked with many original equipment manufacturers to deliver this service successfully.
07: How long does a Portastor equipment housing last?
Portastor offers an extensive range of both material substrate and finish options. Time performance will depend upon the chosen combination, but typically with recommended maintenance regimes -walk in equipment housings with standard finishes will provide a greater than 25 year design life with extra long life LX plus delivering 60 years.

Yes, Portastor have both full national coverage and international capability. You will benefit from the experience of our in-house Facilities Management Team who will deliver, install commission, up-grade, site build and maintain.

Since 1991 the Company and systems have been accredited to BS EN9001. We enjoy delegated release from many of our "blue chip" customers and all products are "buy-it-built" tested solutions.
11: Can Portastor accommodate large-scale build requirements?
Operating from our 60 acre ( 23 hectare) manufacturing and integration site Portastor have 11,340 square meters of production space and are well versed in both managing and supporting the large scale roll-out of product.
