Whether you need an air-conditioned, blast-resistant remote instrument building (RIB) to be located in the blazing heat of the desert or a long-life, anti-vandal signalling equipment room (SER) to be positioned beside an operational railway line, Portastor has the solution.
Your equipment housings can be constructed to provide blast-resistant, fire-rated, ingress-protected enclosures, as well as temperature or humidity-controlled environments. Sophisticated environmental monitoring equipment can be installed to detect and suppress fire or explosion risks.
Fully fitted single housings up to 30m x 6m
Portastor can create single, self-contained housings up to 30m x 6m and weighing up to 100 tonnes. Your building will be fitted out to your specifications with all third-party operational and safety-critical equipment - creating a complete integrated building, ready for delivery to your site.
Larger buildings can be created by linking modules together on site, offering spacious, open-plan interiors.

For one major gas storage project in the UK, Portastor supplied a range of 16 packaged equipment housings, including substation buildings, control rooms and well-head control cubicles.
